Locally known as "Mickey Mouse money" due to its rapid devaluation, this fiat currency was printed by the occupying Japanese government to replace the native Philippine peso. Includes two 100-peso notes, five 10-peso notes, eleven 5-peso notes, and fifteen 1-peso notes. Each bill prominently displays the header "THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT", with some notes featuring vignettes of the iconic Rizal Monument in Manila.
