Type: 2002-2008 50 State Quarter Commemorative Coin Sets Eighteen State Quarters commemorative sets with issues dated 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2008. The presentations contain coins from Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco, with some mixed-mint groupings. All but one set has an accompanying certificate describing the states and issue information. Some presentations are marketed as “gold” or “platinum” editions. Those are commercial edition labels and do not establish solid precious-metal composition. The sets follow the changing state designs through the program’s final year in 2008.

Sixteen United States Mint Uncirculated Coin Sets. The years 1993, 1994, 1995, and 1997 contain both the Philadelphia and Denver Mint Strikes within one package. The 1999, 2001, and 2004 years have both Philadelphia and Denver included, but in separate packaging due to the extra coins from the 50 State Quarters program. The years 2000, 2002, 2003, 2006, and 2015 are represented by Philadelphia while 2005 is represented by Denver.

The cent designs span several stages of the denomination’s history, including the 2009 Lincoln Bicentennial program. Roll contents and the composition of the additional pieces have not been verified; no total copper or silver weight is represented.

Multiple coin chests includes a Bradford Authenticated JFK 100th Anniversary Proof Coin Collection box containing a variety of non-JFK coins and medallions including one in memory of 9-11, one for the U.S. Marine Corps, one featuring a Buffalo Nickel design, and one for the Office of Veteran's Affairs. The Historic U.S. Coins box contains a variety of unrelated memorabilia, and a few coins to include two Roosevelt Dimes, a French coin and others, with the remaining drawers empty. The 12-Piece Chinese Zodiac Astrological Coin / Medallion Set box appears to have a complete set of medallions housed within; the box was noted to have a slightly loose lid at time of cataloging. Also includes a dozen hand painted bookmarks with ornamental pierced tops and hanging tassels. The largest box measures approximately 13" x 6" x 11" tall.

A diverse group of historical world banknotes from Europe, South America, and Africa includes green Biafra 1 Pound bills issued by the short-lived, breakaway Republic of Biafra during the Nigerian Civil War (1967-1970), early 1950s currency from the People's Republic of Bulgaria, featuring 200 and 50 Lev face value notes adorned with local state portraits and security patterns, Paraguay 1 Guaraní bills printed in 1952 alongside Uruguayan Peso notes, including 100 and 1,000 Mil Pesos denominations issued by the Banco Central del Uruguay. These "dead country" notes and obsolete issues are accompanied by historical collector cards written by numismatic author Alan Shawn Feinstein as part of The Vanishing Treasure series, which outline how political conflicts, regime shifts, and hyperinflation caused these specific bills to be rapidly pulled from circulation.

He turned to sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens, whose $20 Double Eagle entered production in 1907. Widely regarded as one of the most beautiful American coins ever struck, the design shows Liberty walking forward with a torch and olive branch, the U.S. Capitol behind her and rays of sunlight filling the field. An eagle in flight above the rising sun fills the reverse. This 1922 example was struck in 90% gold and contains nearly a full troy ounce of fine gold. It belongs to the original Double Eagle series, which ended in 1933, when the United States halted production of gold coins for circulation. Saint-Gaudens’ Liberty proved enduring: the U.S. Mint adapted the design for the American Gold Eagle in 1986.
